Sweden: International Dog Show - Malmö - Tempeluddens To-Ve Bolsena

We are a family who is not at all experienced in the ”Show-world of the Dogs”. In November we went to a smaller show on the countryside at the west coast of Sweden. The success was given. Not. Louise (Tempeluddens To-Ve Bolsena) did great. At first. We practiced and she watched the other dogs from the side during about five hours. Meantime the judge had his bum on a small stool keeping his level of blood sugar in shape by support from  a huge amount of candy - which had its limit. Just in time for the entrance of Louise and her amateur handler (me). My - until then - calm, positive and all over lovely Louise got a hang-up on a very tufted Old English Sheepdog who stood waiting for his entrance - and Louise couldn’t take her eyes from him, and worse - she couldn’t stop barking at him. Well, he looked like a mutated marshmallow but still, she shouldn’t behave like that. And I was able to stop her only for short moments. This is the moment when the judge went out of candy and his level of blood sugar went out of order… including his patience. He wanted to throw us out. The secretary stopped him, shaking the empty candy-bowl and with a snort the judge took a look and finally gave us the ”very good-valuation”.

So. With that in mind, we had some training with our lovely coach who also took the task of being our sweet handler when we entered this big occasion as the Malmo International Dogshow is.

But even though - we had no big expectations. When the judge placed Louise at number one and  flipped among the ribbons and handed over a hell of a bunch - we fell from our stools.

And the Swedish television news where there so we had a happy interview. Well, only for the regional web channel, but still. We don’t really know where to put all the ribbons. Maybe we make a special showroom for Louise.
