In Memory of Orso del Montevergine (August 8th 1992 - January 8th 2007) by Patrice Zioerjen

"Orso is the ancestor of many breeding and champion dogs worldwide. It can be found in many pedigrees of Bergamascos. His ancestors: His mother «Perla» CH-Champion is the great-granddaughter of my very first Bergamasco fellow «Yoshino GardeVias» * January 1st, 1975 from Italy. This extraordinary, loyal, reliable dog worked with me as a herding dog on a large migrant herd, as well as on the alp. In addition, he came with me to the curative day school as a therapy dog.

Orso del Montevergine was an extraordinary, unforgettable dog, loyal friend of my children and a helper on the farm with all the animals. Orso's father was Teone dell’Albera. I owe a lot of knowledge about the Bergamasco to Maria Andreoli (dell’Albera Kennel). I have fondest memories of her and her friendly collaboration."
